Erasmus+ Sport Info Day 2024 (30.01.2024, online)
On 30 January 2024 the European Commission and the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) are planning to organise the next Erasmus+ Sport Info Day in online\offline format. More than 440 representatives of different organizations in the field of sport from Europe and other countries took part in the event.
During the event, potential applicants will learnt about:
- political context
- future programme
- different funding opportunities available in 2024 for sport projects
Opening session started with welcoming speeches of Sophie Beernaerts, Director, EACEA; Iliana Ivanova, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth; Pierre-Yves Jeholet, Ministre-Président de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, Belgian Presidency of the EU Council.
In the first general session Yves Le Lostecque, Head of Erasmus+ Mundus & Sport Unit, EACEA; Gael Broze, Head of Erasmus+ Sport Sector, EACEA; Pawel Jesień, Polish Athletic Association; Hebe Schaillée, Free University of Brussels; Luciano Di Fonzo, Deputy Head of Erasmus+ Mundus & Sport Unit, EACEA, provided detailes presentations on the Erasmus+ in the field of sport, its ket features, 2023 results as well as novelties for 2024 call. During the second session, speakers Florencia Van Houdt, Head of Sport Unit, DG EAC, European Commission; Milena de Murga, Union of Sport Federations of Catalonia; Carlotta Giussani, European Olympic Committee EU Office; Vassos Koutsidoundas, Cyprus Sports Organization; Anna Merlini, Italian Canoe Kayak Federation presented in detail the priorities and policies of Erasmus+ in the field of sport. The next session consisted of three parallel workshops: “The Erasmus+ Sport How to apply?”, “The Erasmus+ Sport How to present your proposal?”, “The Erasmus+ Sport How to present a Capacity Building proposal?”.
At the end of the event, Iban Garcia del Blanco, Member of the European Parliament, and Pia Ahrenkilde Hansen, Director General, DG EAC, European Commission, summed up the event sessions and provided recommendations for joint Erasmus+ projects in the field of sport.
